N.I.U. provides information regarding campus security, personal and fire safety, including topics such as: crime prevention, emergency response procedures and crime reporting policies, in addition to crime and fire statistics for the most recent three calendar years. The Annual Security Report containing security and safety information is available at www.safety.niu.edu or by contacting the University Police Department and Public Safety Department at 815-753-9628 to receive a hard copy. The Annual Fire Safety Report is available at www.firesafety.niu.edu or by contacting the Environmental Health and Safety Department at 815-753-0404 to receive a hard copy.

Responsibilities

Parking
Assist and direct motorists moving in and out of Convo/NIU parking lots.

Collect parking fees as event requires.

Patrol areas looking for issues.

Distribute and collect equipment used in the parking lots and on the streets.

Change directional and informational signs as needed.

Working Hours Varied.
Starting Salary $9.00 per hour
Required Skills

A formal education is not required. Convo will train.

Preferred Qualification

Must have the ability to do general arithmetic. Experience in making change is recommended.

Must have the ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English

Must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
